Japanese language question?

Ok so i'm learning Japanese (in the internet) I know i'm supposed to start with hiragana for beginners, but there is katakana and I know there the same but different charters in the alphabet. And i was going to ask if someone can write down sentances in japan that are common to say. and also if you guys know any good websites i can learn japanese
