Help with speaking Russian D:?

I've been trying to teach my self Russian,but I'm finding it hard to grasp. Though I've never found learning a language to be easy. I tried free sites like Livemocha but they expect you to write a small paragraph without even knowing the alphabet and only a few greetings. >.< Another reason for my frustration with the language is I can't roll my r's (my mom thought I was choking on something) Even though learning Russian is a difficult task for me I want to learn it because most of my family is still living in russian. Also, I find the language very beautiful..Is there any good tips/websites that can help? (there is no russian classes in my area)
