How does an 18 year old go about learning French on their own?

I just graduated high school last month, and I did take german 1 and 2 in 9th and 10th grade respectively, but I want to learn French on my own, but have no freakin clue on how to start. So far the only thing i've done is listen to a sound recording of the french alphabet over and over, im doing this until I can say it all by myself, is this a good starting point? I wish I knew someone who spoke french or wish I could immerse myself in it, but sadly those aren't options. What is the best way to go about (trying to) learning it?
