Is a baby cookbook (along w/ cute baby food containers) a nice gift for a christening?

I know its not something super adorable like a cute outfit or a stuffed animal, but would this be a nice gift for a christening? I feel like its something that would be more helpful for the mother. Its a very nice cookbook with great ideas for healthy baby food. Thanks.
